Executive Team

Jeff Reedy

CEO

Jeff Reedy

Jeff co-founded Overture Networks and has led its growth to a leadership position in the Carrier Ethernet market. He began his career in 1980 at Bell Laboratories designing packet switching hardware and in 1984 joined FiberLAN, Inc., rising to Director of Engineering. In 1988 he co-founded T3 Technologies, a successful startup later acquired by Larscom Incorporated, a leader in network access equipment based in Silicon Valley. He was VP of Engineering of Larscom for eight years, managing more than 60 people in two locations. Products for the carrier market conceived and developed under Jeff's direction fueled Larscom's growth in the mid-nineties and positioned Larscom for an IPO in 1996. In 2008, Jeff was named a Finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in North Carolina. Jeff holds a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from Duke University and a MSEE from Stanford University. He holds two patents.

Dave Stehlin

President

Dave Stehlin

Dave has more than two decades of telecommunications industry experience, holding executive level positions at various equipment manufacturing companies since 1990. With top level leadership experience at early-stage as well as established public companies, he brings a deep understanding of the strategic and growth issues facing companies in our industry. Dave has been CEO of three venture-backed startups, most recently Ceterus Networks, which was acquired by Overture. Additionally, he was President of the Keptel and Network Transport divisions of Antec. Early in his career he held leadership positions with Keptel, Laser Precision and Siecor. He holds one U.S. patent.

Dave served as an officer in the US Marine Corps following his graduation from the US Naval Academy. Additionally, he earned his MBA from National University.

Arthur Bergens

Chief Financial Officer

Arthur has over 24 years of experience in a wide range of financial leadership positions. Prior to Overture Networks, Arthur was the CFO/COO at Centice Corporation, a developer of pharmaceutical verification products. Before Centice, Arthur was CFO for Unitive, Inc., a leader in advanced wafer packaging solutions for the semiconductor industry, which was acquired by Amkor Technology. Arthur began his career at Ernst and Young and rose through the ranks of other private and public companies in various technology industries. In 2009 he was named a Top CFO by Business Leader Media. Arthur holds a MBA from Campbell University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans, and is a licensed certified public accountant in both Louisiana and North Carolina.

Scott St John

Senior VP Worldwide Sales and Service

Scott St John

Scott brings over 17 years of experience to Overture Networks in telecommunications sales, business development and customer service gained at AT&T, Lucent and VINA Technologies. While at VINA, Scott was instrumental in fueling the company's sales growth and helped position the company for a successful IPO in 2000. Before Overture Networks, Scott was the Vice President of North American Sales at Larscom, where he led the introduction of new products into several Tier 1 carriers. Scott has a B.A. in Economics from Syracuse University.

Nour Eddine Derouiche

VP, Operations

Nour Eddine Derouiche

Nour Eddine brings over 24 years of manufacturing and operations experience to Overture Networks from a broad base of technical disciplines. He has served as Director of Operations at Animas and Hologic, two medical equipment firms, and was also Director of Manufacturing and Test Engineering at Pliant Systems, a manufacturer of next generation Digital Loop Carrier systems. Prior to this, Nour Eddine held a number of positions at Mitsubishi Semiconductor. Nour Eddine's expertise is in the areas of process optimization and control, supply chain stability, equipment & resources utilization and cost reduction. Nour Eddine earned a B.S.E.E. from Case Western Reserve and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

Prayson Pate

VP of Engineering — RTP

Prayson Pate

Prayson brings more than 24 years of experience developing software and hardware for networking products to Overture Networks. He began his career in 1983 at FiberLAN, moved to Bell Northern Research (Nortel) and joined Larscom in 1992. He has extensive hardware/software design and management experience, and served as Director of Engineering at Larscom before co-founding Overture. Prayson is active in standards bodies such as the MEF and IETF, and he was chosen to be the co-editor of the pseudowire emulation edge-to-edge (PWE3) requirements and architecture documents (RFCs 3916 and 3985). He has assembled a team of experienced engineers at Overture Networks with a strong track record of developing innovative carrier class products. Prayson holds a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from Duke University and an MS in electrical and computer engineering from North Carolina State University. He holds nine patents.

Gordon Ngo

VP of Engineering — Richardson

Gordon Ngo

Gordon Ngo has 24 years of telecommunication industry and embedded engineering experience at early-stage as well as Tier 1 OEM companies. Gordon brings deep understanding in high reliability telecom engineering and scalable manufacturing. Gordon was VP of Engineering for Ceterus Networks (acquired by Overture). Prior to Ceterus, Gordon held increasing technical and management roles at Fujitsu Network Communication, Samsung Telecommunications, and GE/Lockheed Martin. He helped Samsung launch and deployed their carrier class ATM switching system into the US equipment market.

Gordon holds two US patents in the area of ATM switching and Power management. He holds an MSEE and BSEE degrees from Polytechnic University of New York.

Mark McDonald

Vice President of Product Management

Mark McDonald

With over 25 years in the telecommunications industry, Mark brings extensive experience to Overture’s product management team. Mark began his career at Bell Labs in the early days of fiber deployments, and has participated in several network evolutions including DLC’s, PON’s, Wireless Local Loop systems, and most recently the evolution of Ethernet into the carrier network. Mark was vice president of product management at Ceterus Networks (acquired by Overture), and prior to that he was vice president and general manager of the wireline product group for ADC Telecommunications Corporation. Mark has also held a number vice president-level positions for Marconi Communications (formerly Reltec Corporation), including product marketing and business development. He previously held director positions in marketing and systems engineering for DSC Communications. Earlier in his career, McDonald worked as director of product development for Rockwell International and Alcatel. He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University. Mark has two patents.
