Overview
The ISG 2x products implement standards-based OAM (including 802.3ah EFM OAM) and loopbacks. In addition, the ISG 2x's provide performance monitoring that measures and tracks end-to-end SLA parameters such as latency, jitter, packet loss and availability - while the services are running.
The ISG 2x series from Overture Networks is a low cost family of products that provide:
- Setting a clear and consistent demarcation point between the customers' and the carriers' networks—no matter which vendors’ products are used in the core or edge networks
- Delivering a consistent management interface through standards-based operations, administration and maintenance (OAM) protocols
- Acting as onsite technicians, responding to remote service requests for loopbacks and other remote diagnostics, which keeps truck rolls to a minimum
Applications
Business Services
The ISG 2x enables services to single or multi-tenant business to any location with native Ethernet. Fast Fault Propagation, <50 ms on all interfaces, client and network ports design deliver the reliability required by enterprise customers. H-QoS, dedicated queues per flow, complete Ethernet OAM and flow-level service differentiation deliver sophisticated enterprise services.
Mobile Backhaul
The ISG 2x enables Ethernet for mobile backhaul to one or multiple carriers at the cell tower. ISG 2x enables service to all towers: On-net or leased networks; Ethernet over fiber or radio. A compact, hardened solution fits in any tower cabinet. Fast Fault Propagation, <50 ms on all interfaces, client and network ports and Ethernet OAM enable a carrier-grade scalable solution.
Wholesale Ethernet Services
The ISG 2x has the breadth and depth of carrier features for Wholesale Ethernet services include SOAM, and H-QoS.
