Overview
The Overture 4200 and 4300 offer a multi-service Carrier Ethernet edge and mini-aggregation platform supporting Ethernet and DS1 pseudo-wire services. With its high performance and rugged design, the Overture 4200 and 4300 are ideally suited for high performance mobile backhaul applications. Unique features include 1 Gbps G.8032 Ethernet ring protection, IEEE 1588v2 timing and up to 24 MEF 18 certified DS1 pseudo-wires.
The Overture 4200 and 4300 deliver converged GigE, fast Ethernet and optional DS1 circuit emulation over Carrier Ethernet infrastructure. With industry leading Ethernet OAM and flexible interface options, these products provide all of the capability needed for mobile backhaul, enterprise access and infrastructure applications. The Overture 4200 and 4300 Carrier Ethernet edge platform is unique in three fundamental areas:
Richness of the feature set – Both the Overture 4200 and 4300 are optimized for growth IP/Ethernet services, plus support for DS1 circuit emulation. Their MEF18-certified DS1 circuit emulation over Ethernet enables support for legacy DS1 services with the same performance as SONET/SDH. The Overture 4200 and 4300 deliver sophisticated services for mobile backhaul, enterprise access, infrastructure applications and key vertical applications such as financial services, datacenter connectivity and cloud computing backhaul. Operational flexibility – The Overture 4200 and 4300 support both Ethernet services and DS1 circuit emulation services on a converged solution. High-performance DS1 circuit emulation with integrated 1588v2 or precision-tuned adaptive timing both deliver MEF18 certified performance. A hardened compact design can be deployed in outside plant cabinets and tight spaces. A 99.999% availability design with hot-swappable redundant power supplies and optics enable seamless operation.
