UTX8214

The UTX8214 multiservice cross-connect is a highly scalable hub aggregator, combining carrier class Ethernet switching and TDM DXC functionality in a single chassis. This combined functionality enables cost-effective Ethernet over existing T1/DS3 infrastructure using ITU standard circuit bonding. The UTX8214 can provide 3/1 DXC grooming functions for traditional TDM services as well, reducing the need to grow legacy DXC ports. Each UTX8214 scales to support hundreds of end points, providing grooming and aggregation for handoff of GigE to data networks and DS3 or SONET to TDM networks.
