UTX 8500

The UTX8500 is a highly scalable DS1 PWE over Ethernet gateway, delivering over 1,000 protected DS1s, to 500 endpoints. Designed for 99.999% reliability carrier class applications, the solution provides redundant matrix, controllers, GigE LAG and SONET 1+1. The UTX8500 provides MEF 18 DS1 over Ethernet services via either adaptive or 1588v2 differential mode timing. An integrated 1588v2 grandmaster clock, sourced from existing BITS or SONET line timing eliminates the need for a separate 1588v2 timing server.
