Overture 4000e

Overture’s 4000e is a self-contained service delivery engine. The 4000e is a purpose-built Ethernet switching and VLAN labeling platform for delivering from 1 to over 100 Mbps of symmetrical Ethernet services over a single-bonded-copper infrastructure. The 4000e effectively extends a carriers’ service reach beyond their existing optical switching footprint - increasing the revenue potential while reducing OPEX.

Feature Benefit
15Mbps per copper pair
Single copper pair that can deliver more than seven times the bandwidth of a T1 or E1 service at much lower
Pre-provisioning and Zero Touch
Pre-provision CPEs using pre-set service profiles before they are connected; when they are installed all configuration info and software updates are automatically pushed to ensure rapid service delivery.
Copper pair management
Robust trouble shooting features like Time Domain Reflectometer and Tone Generation to detect pairs and prequalify loops help speed up service delivery.
Stack up to five boxes Simplified management in large scale deployments.
Cross-box bonding High availability services that eliminates stranded copper pairs.

The 4000 platform is fully compatible with our 400 series of cost-effective customer-demarcation edge devices. The connection between an Overture 4000 and an Overture 400 CP device can consist of from 1-to-8 copper pairs, bonded into a single 2BASE-TL broadband connection. IEEE 802.3ah 2BASE-TL copper pairs can be bonded from adjacent or non-adjacent binders, automatically bonding pairs into a logical connection when connected to the Overture 400.

Business Access – The Overture 4000 and Overture's series of Ethernet over copper products enable 1Mb to over 100Mb services as connections to offices typically providing Ethernet services over bonded copper where there is not fiber available.  Typical business services carriers sell are metro Ethernet services, Dedicated Internet Access, IP-VPN, VoIP.

Mobile & DSLAM Backhaul – The Overture 4000 and Overture's series of Ethernet over copper products enable 1Mb to over 100Mb services connection to cell towers, typically providing up to 100 Mbps backhaul services carrying both native Ethernet and native TDM with support for network timing synchronization. The product line is ideally suited for enabling high-speed backhaul to Mobile Cell Towers and DSLAM sites that are capital-constrained to be served by fiber.  .

Multi-Tenant Campus and In-Building – The Overture 4000 and Overture's series of Ethernet over copper products enable 1Mb to over 100Mb services for Campus and In-Building applications.  The product line enables carriers to benefit by taking advantage of the existing copper plant on campus or up the risers in buildings, p realizing a huge cost savings while enabling high-speed Ethernet services.

Traffic Light/Video Surveillance – The Overture 4000 and Overture's series of Ethernet over copper products enable 1 Mb to over 100 Mb services for counties and municipalities who need to increase bandwidth to traffic lights for video surveillance applications where only existing copper plant is available.
