Overture_NetworkDiagram_6000Optimized for services from 1Mbps to 1Gbps, the Overture 6000 is specifically designed to accelerate the transformation to Carrier Ethernet infrastructure and services. The 6000 comes standard with four Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and two interface card slots for adding variety of TDM interfaces, including channelized and clear channel SONET/SDH and DS3/E3 that support single and bonded links to provide aggregation of up to 672 Carrier Ethernet or IP connections to all of your customer locations. With virtualized forwarding, 8 levels of queuing, three tag deep traffic classification and CoS mapping and local switching, the Overture 6000 offers sophistication and flexibility unmatched in the industry.

Feature Benefit
Ethernet over NxT1/E1, DS3/E3, SONET/SDH aggregation Cost-effectively extend Ethernet over existing facilities and turn up services quickly withoutinstalling new fiber.
IPWAN to VLAN pre-aggregation Convert IP traffic from CPE routers to Ethernet at the first aggregation point, eliminate DXC port costs and save up to 70% by eliminating channelized WAN interfaces on edge routers.
HDLC, Frame Relay, PPP/MLPPP IP encapsulations Pre-aggregate IP traffic onto VLANs without changing CPE router configurations.
Triple VLAN tag management, virtual interface queuing, local switching and extensive CoS mapping Grow service footprint, shorten turn-up time and expand service offerings leveraging wholesale Ethernet services (E-Access) while reducing latency and backhaul expenses and providing a superior customer experience.
Up to 672 DS1 subscribers in 2RU Reduce power and rack space requirements. Incrementally expand network footprint in remotelocal serving offices.

Carrier Ethernet Services over Any Infrastructure
Whether your last mile is fiber or copper or an existing SONET/SDH network, the Overture 6000 will help you deliver and manage your Carrier Ethernet services. You can reach your customer sites from a single aggregation platform regardless of the access infrastructure in place. The Overture 6000 is available not just with direct Ethernet connections, but also a variety of TDM interfaces, including channelized and clear channel SONET/SDH, DS3 that support single and bonded links to provide Carrier Ethernet to all of your customer locations.

IP Service Aggregation
If your service portfolio includes any type of IP service offering, such as direct Internet access, VoIP or managed router service, the Overture 6000 will provide a more cost-effective alternative to channelized router interface modules. Rather than spend a small fortune on router modules and drain performance from your critical service edge routers, deploy the Overture 6000 to save money and free up resources by using only Ethernet ports on your routers. Using IP to Ethernet Service interworking, the Overture 6000 terminates the TDM connection, repackages IP traffic into separate VLANs for each customer and hands it off to your router across one or more Ethernet interfaces.

Leverage E-Access and ENNI to extend Ethernet Services Footprint
The Overture 6000 has the breadth and depth of carrier features for wholesale Ethernet services, including triple tag management and H-QoS, hair pining, Local E-LAN / E-Line switching, CoS domain mapping, Virtual interface, queues/shaping and Service OAM (Y.1731, 802.1ag).
